The heartwarming story of how Lilly was found
On this particular day Alicia and her husband were home with their four kids. Thinking their 11-year-old daughter, Lilly, was playing in her room, Alicia went to check on her and saw that she was not there. In fact, she was no where to be found in the house. Panic and a frantic search ensued. Luckily, Lilly was wearing her Jiobit. Alicia was able to pull up the app and right away could see that Lilly had gone to the neighbor's house. Without the Jiobit, the ordeal would've been much more stressful for the family.
Alicia describes Lilly as fun loving and independent. When you meet her you’re immediately drawn to her contagious energy. She has autism level 2 which can sometimes result in her losing focus and wandering off. A location monitor has brought this family so much comfort knowing that they can track down their kiddos in the event that they wander off. Alicia even said that Lilly enjoys wearing it because she likes the secure feeling of knowing her parents can find her anytime.

What is Jiobit?
Back in August of 2015, Jio Founder John Renaldi, took his family to visit Maggie Daley Park in downtown Chicago. The park is very large and crowded; as such, John lost track of his then 6-year-old son. It was just a split second when John took his eyes off his son, only to look back and find that his son was gone. It took John 30 minutes to find him. As every parent knows, this type of experience is terrifying. It was traumatizing for John and his wife and they sought out to find a tracking device that would prevent this from happening again. While there were several options out there, they were all big bulky wristwatches with terrible battery life, build on antiquated 10 year old technology. Nothing lived up to his or his kids’ expectations. It was then that he decided he’d solve the problem himself. He knew that his background, accompanied with his professional network, made him the perfect person to do so.
Jiobit, is the smallest and longest lasting real-time location tracker for kids. This is only the beginning of where we’ll take this technology. Within the family use cases we will re-launch Jiobit for Pets and also target runners, elderly, and special needs.
It’s small, lightweight, and comfortable against the skin - easily clipping onto clothing and accessories without interfering with a child’s activity. The product - designed with active kids in mind - is durable and water-resistant.
Jiobit is the first of its kind always on location tracking technology enabling the world’s smallest connected products with industry leading battery life and best in class security and encryption. Jiobit earned PC Mag’s Editor’s Choice award for GPS trackers and CES 2019 Babytech Winner.
